Why Boudoir Photography? In short, the women in my life...

...the women around me - my family, my friends, my role models and acquaintances. I have witnessed gorgeous women around me doubt, question, criticize, hide their bodies and beat themselves up because we have all allowed the media & society to dictate what is beautiful & sexy. These women are positively beautiful. Each and every one of them is unique and should be celebrated for all that they are and all that they have achieved in their lives.

For my own two girls, I want to shape a new landscape. I wish for them to stay confident in their uniqueness. I know I can create change by being their example and by fostering a community where those around them are able to be proud and unwavering in their intelligence, sexuality, beauty and support of one-another on their journey of self-love and acceptance.

So Why choose Boudoir Photography as a way of empowering and supporting the women around me?
When we strip back our well-established layers we see our true selves in all it's vulnerability. From here our strength and confidence can grow, followed by a new level of self-respect as we finally observe, accept and even love ourselves from a totally different perspective.

Unfortunately it is so commonplace that women do not think they are beautiful, strong or sexy. Boudie gifts me the chance to empower those who journey with me, to find they really are all this and more in so many ways. Experiencing the women who walk into my studio full of nerves and self-doubt transform into confident, sexy and empowered beings means so much to me. It is so inspiring and such an honour to travel with them through that process.

I had my own Boudoir Experience in January.

I toooootally understand how hard it can be to step so far outside of your comfort zone. The nerves and self-doubt were real, it ran so deep. I struggled to even decide on the right colour of nail polish. Through my boudoir photography experience I have grown. I've noticed that my internal dialogue is changing into a more gentle, positive and a kind voice. I'm proud to say I love going back to my images and have found that on a shitty day they pull me out of my funk.
